Students Taking Charge motivates, educates and empowers high school students to get involved and take action to improve nutrition and opportunities for physical activity in their school – and to help themselves and their peers learn to be healthier. Since developed by the Massachusetts Action for Healthy Kids State Team and the Harvard Prevention Center’s Youth Task Force in 2005, nearly 15,000 middle and high school students have tested the program in Massachusetts, Texas, Iowa, Michigan and Kansas.
